Futures with Food Recognition Ceremony

Beenleigh SHS was proud to be involved in the ‘Futures with Food’ Recognition Ceremony on Thursday 1st August 2013.  This was a progressive lunch, with 47 guests travelling to the three schools that are involved in the Trade Training Centres in Schools Program; to celebrate the official opening of the Trade Training Centres in the Logan district.  Beenleigh SHS was in charge of the main lunch meal, and Mrs Berthier’s Cert I and II Hospitality classes served up an alternate drop menu of Beef Bourguignon and Chicken Chasseur.  Miss Davis’s Cert II Hospitality class served the guests’ meals, and beverages of lemon, lime and bitters.  Senator Claire Moore, the Labour Senator for Queensland, was the VIP guest for the day, as well as industry representatives and staff from all the schools.  Each guest had nothing but good comments about the day, and in particular, how well the students at Beenleigh SHS performed.  Well done to all involved.
